Display X number of records per page

Hi
I have a report which displays skills per staff, I have placed staff details
in the textbox with a list and also I have placed a table of skills for
grouped by staffid. Basically I need to print out certificates like :
Staff X
--
then skills listed
1.skill A
2.skill B
--
footer which has a signature.
I have got everything working except if any staff has more than 10 skills it
just blows out of the page size and everything goes crazy. My question is how
can I display only 5 skills per page with header and footer and if the skills
exceed more than 5 then create a new page with header and footer and the
remaining skills.
I have used this function in the visibility of the skills table
=iif(rownumber(nothing)>5,False,True) but it just stops displaying anyskills
if the skills exceed more than 5 skills.
Please any advice or direction be most appreciated.
CheersCreate a grouping on the list as follows:
=Ceiling(RowNumber(nothing)/5)
and designate a page break after the group.
This will split the list into 5 per page.

Display Report Filters in Excel Problem

Dear Anyone,

I have a report that displays the user's selected filters. I have placed this on the page footer. When I export this to excel, it wont display. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,
JosephHi Joseph,

I had this same problem before where I place the parameter selection display in the page footer. Apparently, if you place it in the page footer, it will be exported to excel.

What you can do is place it on the body along with the report table. This wil allow you to include your additional information in excel.

Thanks,
Joseph

Display group data on every page

Hi!
I have two groupings placed in on list object and I'm trying to
grouping data to be displayed on every page but without luck. The
grouping data is displayed correctly at the beginning of the group but
since it might be a long list of items in one group I would like to
display the group header on every page. Is this possible? I've
searched the net and found answers that it should be possible to do
this but I can't figure out how. HELP Please.

When editing group in designer, there should be checkboxes called
'Repeat Group Header', Repeat Group Footer'. These will cause the
group header/footer to be repeated on every page.|||On 15 Feb, 01:56, "Rowen" <rowen...@.gmail.com> wrote:

Hi!
Is this true even if I use a list as the grouping object. I'm unable
to find the checkboxes in my rdl file.|||On Feb 16, 2:04 am, e...@.liffner.se wrote:

The checkbox is visible when editing a report in design mode (i.e. in
Visual Studio). There will not be any checkbox in the rdl file.
If you want to add the property to the rdl file via a text editor, it
should be like this:
<TableGroup>
<Header>
<TableRows>...
</TableRows>
<RepeatOnNewPage>true</RepeatOnNewPage>
</Header>
<Grouping Name="...">
<GroupExpressions>
...
</GroupExpressions>
</Grouping>
<Sorting>
...
</Sorting>
</TableGroup>
